Deputy Chief Minister Nicole Manison helped off stage mid-speech while opening Major Projects Conference in Darwin

Ms Manison was well into her opening address when she stopped, telling the room she needed to take a five-minute break.

Staff helped her from the podium before she left the stage briefly to sit on a chair.

She then left unassisted and her staff later told media Ms Manison was okay.

The gathering of industry and project leaders were being given a broad overview of the direction of the Gunner Government.
